Two milestone projects for me are complete! I’m excited to share with my readers and also would like any feed back!

#1 Redesigned This Blog

It has been a long time coming, in fact a total renovation of this blog has been on my to do list for over a year and a half, but the day has finally come. Everything has been cleaned up. If you’ve been to this blog in the past, then you will notice a major change. It is no longer so heavily focused on my company, but more about you, my fellow web marketers and those interested in learning about web marketing. That said, I still generate quite a few leads through this blog, so I’ve gone in and prettied up the About page (linked here: SEO Consulting) for that very reason. I wanted to go with a more personable approach, and I feel this new design does just that!

# 2 My Side Project is Launched

This blog has been a fairly popular place for other web marketers, and I want to continue to grow that community so we can all share and learn from each other. With that idea in mind, I started up a side project called Internet Marketing News Daily. Every day I end up skimming through hundreds of blog posts to find the 10-15 or so that really pique my interest. I know there is a ton of fluff in the internet marketing arena, so I wanted to cut out the fat and compile a daily roundup of the latest happenings in the internet marketing industry. These are blog posts that I have personally read, and know you will find value just in the time saved! I think you’ll enjoy the daily humor at the end of them all as well.

I hope everyone had a great holiday season! It was a flurry towards the end of the year for us at SEORCHERS, as we conducted our planning for 2010, and continued to fill up the pipeline with potential customers looking forward to 2010.

A much needed update to the blog is finally complete. Haven’t been able to spend as much time as I wanted to since I started the overhaul process a couple weeks ago, due to client responsibilities that I have. However, the finishing touches have been made and the new layout should serve well once the premium SEO suite is complete. For the time being, I have added seo related tools to use, so be sure and check out the Web Marketing Tools page.

In the near future, a keyword analysis toolset will be brought to this site. It promises to be filled with things that are not seen in any other form of software. I have spent hours and countless handwritten pages developing the algorithms for the toolset, now it is just a matter of having it commercially developed. Stay tuned to the site as I update progress. A rebrand effort that has been in the works for the last 45 days has finally been realized. As of June 1st, 2009 Novel Concept Studio now operates under the name SEORCHERS [surch-ers]. This was a needed process for us to realize our long term goals. The following is our press release:

It has been a little while since I have been able to create a worthwhile post for the I Do Web Marketing blog. This is due to the rapid growth of Novel Concept Studio so far in 2009. Things have gone so well in the early goings of 2009, that there are major plans in the works for the company coming soon. As businesses move to better spend their advertising dollars, SEO and internet marketing are at a premium right now and Novel Concept Studio is therefore thriving in the current economy

Last week Novel Concept Studio launched a new marketing plan geared for the small business owner. After partnering with templatemonster.com, Novel Concept Studio unveiled a complete web presence setup and ongoing marketing plan for $399.99/month. You choose a template provided by templatemonster.com, you’ll receive free customization for the template with the company logo and information, and then Novel Concept Studio will provide ongoing internet marketing services for that website. In today’s economy, having a web presence for your business is vital. This allows businesses to achieve that web presence for a relatively low cost. The amazing thing is we have not even begun our marketing of this product and things are going well with it already. Plans are for an April 1st marketing campaign launch with businesses in the Phoenix metro area.

Not only this, but Novel Concept Studio has also finished putting the touches on a complete rebranding process. Make no mistake about it, this has been a rather large undertaking. We wanted our tagline to be more of an emphasis, “Expand your web presence.” This tagline was then taken to the drawing board to enhance our logo for this message. So the new logo has been unveiled as well. This, of course, means completely disposing of all marketing material and stationery and having everything re-ordered! We felt the rebranding was necessary to achieve our long term goals. We wanted a logo and tagline that better represented our company’s focus and we feel this will set us up for higher levels of success. East Valley Creative did a fantastic job throughout this process and I highly recommend them!

It was also important to have the rebranding in place for the upcoming project over at www.novelseotools.com. The tools are being developed to be commercialized at an affordable rate for just about every webmaster out there. We have advertising lined up on several high profile websites and through a couple of webmaster and marketing magazines as well. Because of the anticipated exposure, it was important that our rebranding be completed soon. We are shooting for a Q2 release of the SEO Tools suite.

Alright, enough about that. Since the affiliate marketing series of posts I had in December was such a success, I’ll most likely be looking to compile another series here soon. Although I do want to go into more detail regarding the affiliate marketing process, I want to cover another topic here in this next series. I’ll come back to the affiliate marketing arena soon. Late on December 30th, I finally got around to taking my google adwords certification exam. It has been awhile in the making, but I figured with the holidays here it was time to get it done. I had to go through 9 hours of audio at the Learning Center, run a Pay Per Click Campaign for 90 days, and also spend at least $1,000 over the course of that 90 days.

I was very nervous going into the exam, I get like that when it comes to tests for some reason. You have 90 minutes to complete the test of 110 questions. Some of the questions were pretty easy even for Adwords beginners. However, some questions intentionally try to trick you and it’s important that you understand the process to fully grasp what’s being asked. You can conveniently mark questions for later, which helps you get through the exam questions you know at a quicker pace. Provided you have enough time, you can then go back and research the questions you aren’t sure of.

It’s nearly impossible to pass this if you have not gone through the Learning Center. I would also suggest that you take the test quizes on the Learning Center page as well so that you get a better feel for the actual exam. All in all though, I think it will be a great asset to have this Certification. I get to display the Google Adwords logo on my website, and it definitely adds a solid credential for me when talkng with prospective customers. I also get to offer new clients $100 free in Pay Per Click campaigns, as long as they have not previously setup an AdWords account. A very cool selling point as well!
