I have to admit that i hate it when companies write positive reviews for themselves, and then post them. They aren’t even well written, any customer can realize that that’s a fake on. So, instead of doing good it can be harmful for a company’s prestige.
its better to do so or else its waste of money and most important if the product turns harsh..

Writing unbiased reviews is a great way of increasing affiliate conversions too cos those who take time to read the reviews (bad or good) are the ones most likely to place an order. It’s like your review should serve as an eye opener to them about things that they probably wouldn’t have noticed on their own.
