I think outsourcing is the way to go…. only if you have the skills to make a website you dont want to risk it… and just how you mentioned the first impression is the key… great post

It’s better to outsource it for someone if we lack the skills or we have the skills but we lack the time. If we have time and skill, its better to do it ourselves. Doing it ourselves, we can assure the quality of our website.

I think if we had a skill in web design,we can do ourself.but if you are not confidence,hire some profesional web design

If you have a lots of time you should consider making your site by yourself – it’s not so hard how it used to be 10 years ago. try CMS like Jomla! or Drupal or … WordPress:) You will save a lot of money that way. but if you are lazy bastard and have too much money – well, hire someone:)

Or if you are a blogger, and your website is somewhat simple in nature, you can go the Wordpress as a CMS route. I have been contemplating that for a website that a company has asked me to design.
